The iPod Craze

What is the deal with iPods? You probably see a lot of people with these devices. They are thin little electronic equipment that can fit inside your shirt pocket. People use them on busses and in offices. They are used for listening to music, viewing videos and even making pod casts. Are you missing out on something here?

If you have not yet caught on to the iPod craze, you are in for a treat if you decide to purchase one of these beauties. There are different types of iPods on the market. They first hit the scene in 2001 and have been going strong ever since. They are made by Apple, but you can get them compatible for Windows computers as well.

IPods are not just for listening to music and videos, though. They are amazing little pieces of equipment that work fast to get you information when you want it. With the help of personal computers, you can download data from your computer onto your iPod and carry it wherever you go. No longer do you have to purchase an entire album to get one song. Today you can purchase songs individually. You can even have memberships to clubs that allow you to purchase as many songs as you want for one low monthly price.

Songs and videos can easily be transported to your iPod for your viewing pleasure any time that you want. Although these instruments are high tech, they are relatively easy to use. You download the free software when you get the product. The software is called iTunes. Here you can organize your data so that you can transport it into your iPod.

There are different products you can use to enhance your iPod use as well. You can turn it into a tape recorder or even a laser flashlight with some software. Other software allows you to get bar recipes. If you have a job as a bartender, this can be invaluable to you as there are thousands of drink recipes right at your fingertips - without having to rummage through a book.

You can use the tape recorder to record a lecture at school and then play it back on your adapter in the car. You can even use the notes function to organize class notes and homework or work schedules. You can download calendars from the internet for free onto your iPod.

There are also games available on your iPod. If you get bored with watching videos or listening to music, you can play one of the many free games that come with the device.

The iPod is not just for listening to music, although it has definitely revolutionized the way that we listen to music. You can watch videos, store photographs, store text and use software additions to do a number of different things, even create pod casts with your device. And more software is coming out all of the time for this device. Once you get an iPod, you will wonder how you ever got along without it.
